A versatile person with rich knowledge in mathematics who has teaching experience for 21 years in schools & college. His Ph.D research in the field of education on the topic “An Experimental Study On The Effect Of Using Multimedia In Teaching Trigonometric Concepts” is on opt testimony.
He got appreciation certificate from ‘National Institute Of Technical Teachers Training And Research’(NITTTR), Taramani for developed a Multimedia learning package in Trigonometry by him. He also has lot of professional achievements to his credit. He has been the resource person for AICTE staff development programme and delivered guest lectures on the above said topic at various reputed educational institutions in Tamilnadu. He was the co-ordinator for National Symposium & also attended the International conference on E-resources held at Bharathidasan University, Trichy.
He has presented number of papers, seminars and guest lectures. He has received “The Best Teacher” award from Chennai Institute of Technology. His achievements doesn’t confine to National level but also presented a paper on “Integrating Laws Of Nature In Teaching Mathematics” in the International Conference at ‘Baekseok University’, South Korea. To succeed in our mission one must have single minded devotion to achieve goal. This has been vindicated by our illustrious principal Dr. R Charles. He was honoured by Shri. Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir, Tambaram and has been conferred with “BEST EDUCATIONALIST” by Tamil Nadu Governor Shri. Banwarilal Purohit on 19 th Jan 2018. Dr.R.Charles is a person embedded with such traits who is a beacon light to the education field. His enterprising, innovative, suave, motivating and tireless service will bring many more laurels in the years ahead.
Mr.M Reghu Dev M.Sc, M.C.A, B.Ed is acquainted with the school for 25 years and stands as an icon to his department and the students. Produces 100% results in Computer Science in the XII th Board Examination every year. Received “Best Teacher” award in 2013 and “Sri Sri Paramahamsa Yogananda” award in 2015. Stands as a Core Team Co-ordinator of ISO Certification of the school. A person with widened knowledge, with contemporary ideas and an academician who approaches everything with a broader perspective. His Simplicity and humility will shower more laurels to the institution.
Working as a PGT Maths Teacher for 23 years. Presented a live programme on “Vetri Nitchayam” for Thanthi T.V on 24th Feb 2015 on the topic ,” How to score centum in XII std Maths”and on 20.02.2016 on the topic “Easy way to Score in Maths”. Successfully Completed the course of study offered by IIT Bombay on the topic, “Pedagogy for effective use of ICT for school teacher” in May 2017. Conducted a “ Mega Maths Expo 2012” on Aug 2012 in our school where more than 250 models presented. Produces many centums in General Maths in XII std Public exam.
Received Best Mathematics Teacher Award in Feb.2012 from Dr.Rossiah, The Hon’ble Ex-Governor of Tamilnadu. Received Chennai District Best Teacher Award in June 2017, given by “Science Olympiad Foundation, Delhi”. Received “Ramanujar Best Teacher Award” in April 2015 given by “Sri Ramanujar Engineering college, Vandalur”. Received Best Teacher Award in Apr 2012 & Apr 2014 given by “Lions Club, Chennai” and “Rainbow International Educare” respectively.
16 students played for Tamilnadu Hockey team in various National's and All India tournaments. 4 students played for Tamilnadu Senior team in the Floor Hockey National. 1 student represented school State Cricket team in the school Nationals. 2 Gold medals in under 14 School State Fencing Competition (2015-16). 1 student represented Tamilnadu under 14 in Fencing Nationals. 16 students represented Chennai Hockey team in Junior and Sub-Junior State Championship. 1 girl played for Chennai Women's Hockey team in the Chief Minister Cup and got second place with a cash award of Rs.50,000/-
National Grade I Umpire in Hockey. Done Senior Nationals 4 times, Junior National 4 times, Sub-Junior Nationals 3 times. All India Murugappa Gold Cup 8 times. Scindia Hockey Gold Cup Tournament at Gwalior and various All India Tournaments. Senior Umpire in the Umpiring Panel of Tamilnadu.
